Here
is how the ChemKey Search Database program appears when you first
open the CD-Rom version of the program.
Note: The pictures outlined below are only images of
the actual ChemKey program (not links to the program) and are only
meant to give one an idea of how the program operates. To start the
program one would simply click "Proceed."
The
next step would be to enter a search word or string of words.
ChemKey will search the "Title, Keyword, and Abstract" fields
looking for your search criteria. The search can be further refined
by year.
In
this particular example, ChemKey found 27 references which included
all three search words. Each reference can be viewed by clicking
on the rolodex which appears in the upper left hand corner. Or
alternatively, click on the "Browse Records" button which
appears between the Keyword and Abstract fields....

you want to scroll through all your search hits at once.
